shop rollaround seat bunkclimber 01/11/2020 02:05 PM easy way to get around the shop, great for sitting doing brake jobs and such on vehicles, it rolls pretty easy across uneven shop floors and the foam top is easily replaceable, just some hot melt glue holds the foam to the milkcrate so you can replace it easy. I guess you could bond the foam to plywood then screw the plywood to the top of the crate, this might help keeping your foot from breaking thru it if you were to step on it as a stepstool, altho thats a mighty treacherous thing to do as it wants to slide out from under you...the caster base is a dolly for a Rubbermaid Brute trashcan. this one has lasted about 25years or so..unbelieveable..this also is handy for painting things as a rotary dolly, just cover it with a trashbag, put your item to be painted on it,rotate as you paint..works great for me-FWIW

Case 1530 skidloader sonny 01/10/2020 08:10 PM This is what I need to get running to help around the place. My New Hollands are a bit big for a lot of lighter work, plus this one don't have a top on it. Makes it easier for me to crawl on it. Don't plan on lifting anything high or heavy. just light pushing around and carrying stuff down low.
Right now I need the loader cylinder kits to redo the lift and bucket cylinders. I am having trouble with Case, as they kinda dis-own this model. the only thing they show is the 1530-B model, its a different animal.
Ideas and info are needed! Thanks!

Yet another DC Knives style belt grinder GLyford 01/08/2020 11:08 PM I have been accumulating parts for a 2x72 belt grinder in the DC Knives style.

A slack platen frame and a set of pulleys from Origin Blade Maker, a handful of steel tubing in 2" and 1-1/2", various bearings, shafts, and step pulleys, and an old "2hp" 2-speed pool motor with replaced bearings. Motor is ODP not TEFC, so I will probably set it up with a filter of some kind. This is a toy for occasional use, not a serious daily use production tool, so I suspect the step pulleys and open motor will suit me for a while. I will still keep my eyes open for a nice 3-phase TEFC motor and VFD just in case a deal happens to fall my way.

Not sure when I will actually start building, but it's nice having most of the parts in hand.

UBB updated to 7.7.2 GatorS 01/08/2020 07:48 PM Our site software has been updated to the latest version. Hopefully this will keep things working for awhile.

Please share this site with you friends and coworkers. We need to grow back to where the old site was and beyond. This can become whatever we want it to be. I haven't been as diligent to post new stuff to this site but am going to try to get back in the habit.

Happy new year.

Let me know if you see stuff you want added, or new categories in the forums, and we can most likely accommodate.

Flick'r sonny 12/20/2019 04:42 PM From the sounds of the e-mail I just got from them, they are having trouble staying up, so Watch your pix. on there, don't put anything that you don't have copies of! -- All of the ones I put on there have the originals stored in other places.
Storing pix is a real problem for all of us. With this digital stuff, they are not safe any place!
Have your special pix. made into the real prints! --- There is no substitute for that!

ethanol phasing JIM 12/14/2019 10:55 PM My 4 wheeler quit running. Drained the carb bowl and then couldn't even get it to fire again. Cleaned the tank out & pulled the carb. this is what I got out of it. this is the worse case of phasing I've seen yet. from now one no fuel goes in any of my equipment unless it's treated with SEAFOAM.

I let it settle over night and this is what I got..
[Linked Image][Linked Image][Linked Image]

siphoned the crap off the bottom and put it in a gallon jug. this is how much unburnable crap came out the bottom of the tank.

DOC. sonny 12/10/2019 05:11 PM When I visited Smokestak, mention of Doc came up and I dug a bit deeper into it. Harry did some serious calling around and found some leads on Doc, none good. Ambulance was dispatched to Docs. home and he was taken to hospital. As you know Doc had strokes before and pulled thru. This time however he did not. He was only 68. He does have a couple of brothers from what I hear.
Guys on Smokestak are sad too. Doc was a star over there just as he was here.
All of us here will miss him.
God bless Doc and his family, Prayers go out to them from us here on MBN.
