Plan on starting next week on a square tubing/pipe cleaner.
It will have 8- 8" wire wheels and 2- 1hp motors.
Feed the tubing through twice and it will be clean.
Later I plan on adding another unit, turned 90 degrees, so that it will be one past.
Pipe, you will slowly turn it as it feeds and will just be one past.
On items that I powder coat or paint, I spend 2-3 time the labor cleaning the metal, as I do welding the item up.

cleaning is always time consuming on everything ---guess thats why I dont paint anything anymore!

I have a bench grinder set up with one wire wheel for cleaning the ends of tubing for welding.
This will work about the same way, but will clean 2 sides at one time, plus the full length of the tubing, as it is goes through.
Also, you will not have kickback or the tubing been throw out the back.

Picking up the shafts today.
While I have a lathe, I am not that good at cutting threads, so I had another shop to do that.
Now just got to cut some 1/4" plate and weld it up with some tubing to make the frame.

No harm in jobbing out something to others with the equipment or experience..years later you will thank yourself for doing it right.Love to see some pics as this build progresses

Spent over 2 hours designing the stand, table, motors mounts, shaft mounts, etc today.
I use my cad program for my plasma table to design with.
I set the overall size I want, then place the items that I know the size of, in the drawings.
Once I get all the items/parts draw and scaled out, all I have to do is measure each part to get the cut list.
Couple of clicks and push one key and it tells me the length of the part.
ex. The legs from the base to the table top need to be 27 5/8" long.
That is if I use a 1/2" thick top, but I may use a 3/8" tick top and that will make the legs 27 3/4" long.
I can also add text to the drawings and print them out, to use as blue prints in the shop.
