Living inside city limits Restricted my ability to build a building as big as I wanted So I went up a little higher. Technically the upstairs is considered a loft because it doesn't have the head room to be a second story which is how I beat the rap for exceeding my 500sqft limit.

The one on the left was given to me a couple of years ago it's a 12" 220vac machine

the foamboard doesn't stop it from getting hot just knocks out the radiant heat. the 3 ton A/C unit I have on the building doesn't cool the upstairs in the summer at all even with a roof ventilator installed. I have a damper set up to keep it all downstairs. If I have to do some thing upstairs I can shift it all up there while I'm working. Not usually up there more than an hour at a time any way.

This is how the entire upstairs is supported

This shows how I put plastic up. Wow did this make a Major difference. I can keep the downstairs comfortable year around.
