had four left over stock 18" golf cart wheels, making some new hand trucks for a mobile home service contractor friend of mine..he deals in demolition, salvage and service of mobile homes and is always moving appliances in and out of them, and package unit outdoor air conditioners around..whipped this one up from 1" black steel pipe, made the shoe plate from 6" c-channel by cutting one leg off it..had to buy a set of hubs with bearings to mount the wheels on the axle shaft with..not too bad at $35 with bearings for a set of two hubs free shipping...I sized this truck at 30" wide so you can get it into and out of narrow mobile home doors and hallways..a work in progress

the bigger tires/wheels make moving things in rough terrain easy..it rolls over and around things that would stop a regular rubber tire handtruck, and can take more weight..Ive made 'em from lawn tractor front wheels too, i just had two sets of these wheels and tires and couldnt just throw em away
