I got a broke down mini truck a few weeks ago for $900 bucks. The previous owner said a buddys kids had put bad gas in it and that is wouldn't run anymore. He said that he hadn't messed with it yet. The under carriage and engine were filthy. I pressure washed it the best I could.

Before messing with it I hit with starter fluid and turned it over. It hit and started on the fluid easily. I pulled the gas lines off the carb and they were completely dry. The tank was also completely empty.

The muffler was held on with baling wire and a hole in the pipe, so it got cut off. I dropped the gas tank and flushed it out, then replaced all the fuel lines all the way to the carb.

I primed the fuel pump and it started up, running rough but running. I changed the oil before running it. The air filter was also off and the intake to the carb with filthy...

Anyway after priming the lines I turned it over and it fired right up. The spring on the carb was gummed up and not closing the throttle so it wouldn't idle down. I sprayed some carb cleaner on the spring followed by some oil and it is closing the throttle better.

We looked at a couple of them here but price is from $2,500 for non-runners to $10,000 for a running one, so they out for us! Some people down the road here about 7 miles has one that they use on the farm. Flouresent lime green color !!!!! LOL!! Looks neat even so!

Funny thing is I already bought a second one.....There was one with overheated engine on marketplace for 500. The head is off the engine, guy said the cam shaft warped so the head was probably bad also. It's been off the engine for about a year. I messaged him and told him id give him $300 but not more. He said that he didn't mind delivering it for $50. He was about 80 miles away so I let him bring it to me......Funny part is that he delivered it and drove away before my wife saw him. It's back behind my shed and can't be seen in her normal drive. I'm going to see how long it takes for her to find it.

The block is the same as the other one. The second is the Daihatsu, the camo one is a Mitsubishi. I was thinking that I could swap the intake and get the camo one running. Turns out I didn't need it, but parts are not cheap on these little suckers. There is a rear axle like the one on the $350 truck on ebay for $900 so worst case I can part it out. I'm probally just going to keep it for parts or maybe try to put some other engine in there. I don't really need another project but I'm a sucker for one.

are those the stock size tires on the front? doesnt look to have much clearance between the tires and body..anyway i like the cabover design..easy in/out..only way i'd get easier is to take the drivers door off!! nice score Gator
