I did a loader repair on a 4000 some 20yrs ago,the end of the lift arm behind the bucket was bent.had to pull it hydraulically to get it back in line..it was sprung inside the bucket mount bosses,dont know how the previous owner got the bucket on it..I made gussets like yours,but just a bit shorter..the guy still uses it so I guess I did something right
Reason for one was, I could not find a ford one..or aleast one that wasn't 3d printed from weld. So I decided to find a good one and make fit than cut and grind and clean up a busted up one..I hate grinding. This came up for auction and was made for a narrow front so it went cheap. Got a engine driven hydraulic pump. The tractor hydraulics are painfully slow...pump is 14 gpm at like 2200 ripums...which is governed engine speed
Making square stuff round...building cylinder stroke limiters. I had changed the cylinder mounts some now stroke is to long. These will go in the cylinder top of 5he piston. 2 in long. An aluminum block is what I had. Turned them down to 2.700 and bore is just a scooch over 1.75 to slip nice on the rod
man Nnaatz you did it the hard way on the lathe..last pair of limiters I made i just bought aluminum tubing that fit..nice work and patience..is that a 3jaw chuck? how did you center the block,or did you grip the inside bore?
It took time ..it what I had. Started life a 2x4 aluminium. Measured out and drilled two 1.5 holes to chuck on cleaned up outside face the front then bored square

Stroke limiter installed. Gave the rod a polish with some 400 and oil
You put this INSIDE the cylinder?--WOW !! never seen that done before! Should do the job. That will shorten things up a bit for sure!

ya, that would be a problem---- looks like you solved it quite simply!
I had to do that with the tilt & trim cylinders on a boat I had. Changed the drive package and the replacement would hit the swim platform. Darnn near tore it off first time I raised the drive. 1" stoke limiters in the cylinders solved the problem. Pretty sure I posted that up on Matt's old site. Probably the 1st site. That was some time ago. Lost some good stuff on that shift too.
Loader under its. Own power. I gotta put a guage on it because I dont remember what the relief is set at....the 14 gpm crank driven pump seams to motivate it quite well
them front mount pumps are the only way to go on loaders! LOL!! -- Lookin good there!
Bucket is pinned on...will need a cutting edge and chain hooks....possibly bushings made for loader pins little sloppy they are
Now to devise a grill guard and pump guard

Lol....yep its had its teeth knocked out once.....I gotta pull the nose off to do some body work. I need pull loader off again to finish welding...I'm not a flexible as I once was
I think most of us are not as flexible as we used to be! lol! I know I am not! ---- gotta cheat a bit when I weld now days too!
Pump guards are kinda needed, no matter how careful you are----your gonna bump something!! lol! it just happens!
Didnt have one on the TD-9 dozer I had ----ya had a few close calls with it! The TD-9 loader I had was a big front cover on it ----it was made out of 1/4 or 1/2 inch stuff punched with round holes for air flow to rad. and covered the whole front of the tractor.
They do save the pump and rad. from damage.

But my pump doesn't stick out as far. I do need to re-rout the discharge hose though. this ones getting hammered. the pump is actually flush with the Front bumper which is actually a support for the loader frame.
I'm not quite sure how I'm gonna protect the pressure line yet....maybe just a couple of loose fitting hoops...I don't know
However I got reminded last night on how it sucked to run an open station tractor blower in the wind...
I did not use the loader it's just still ticky tackied in many places yet
YA! blowers and wind = miserable day for sure! --- just keep the snow up there!

well mine is actually flush with the bumper/support but I do need to fix the hose. just need to put a straight swivel in vice the 45.

There...tacked up. Hand off the sandblastering guy tomorrow at work to get it cleaned up to weld better...gotta switch the welder back over to .035. Once welded drill and tap 2 hole in the upper tab
Added the little stovepipe in Hope's off offering a little deflection from stuff .....but probably not
