Was needing a chipper again and ran into this one. Gas engine,--slant 6, runs good, chipper needs new drive belt but other than that it should do the job. --- last chipper I had was unknown brand with an air cooled 80 hp diesel engine made in Italy. vm motri was its brand. Dont like diesel motors and this Vermeer is gas, blades have a lot of life left in them, could stand a little sharpening but thats no problem with a 4" angle grinder! Crawl in the chute and grind away,-- no need to take blades out. then check shear bar for clearance and adjust if necessary from under the machine with jack bolts.
