This was in the package deal with some other stuff. --- It says Rockford on it and the guy that I got it from says it weighs 5,000 pounds. It has a 24" stroke and is a hydraulic cylinder/pump system.
Currently has a converter box to run 220 - 3 phase from 220 single phase. I never tried the thing but it is a monster. They say it will take out chips that go klunk when they hit the floor!

Love it, I had a chance 2 weeks ago to buy one at a machine shop auction. It ended up selling for scrap for about $400....breaks my heart to know its getting scrapped, but I didn't have anywhere to put it. Probably 30 pieces of equipment in that auction that I would have loved to have. including CNC mills, wire EDM machines and lots of lathes in mills....It was about 5 hours from me so I let it pass.

Looks like that thing would take a heck of a chip when if was going.

Sonny that shaper is a beast,it'l take a 6000lb forklift or better to move it,and keep it under control during the move..Ive moved a lot of big machines and I can tell you once it starts sliding on the deck of a truck its not gonna stop..a little creative tarping and sealing off with duct tape,a sandblaster or better yet pressure blasting with dry ice and some paint you might have a nice machine..might want to wet it down with some drain oil or better for corrosion prevention
Merry Christmas

Ya! I picked it up with Moose and set here in the shed many years ago, was hopeing someone could use it and it not have to go as scrap! --- so far no takers. --- size seams to be major problem for the couple of interested parties.--- no way to unload on their end! lol! ---- Moose just played with it

The one I was looking at was 12000# so that was the other factor that I couldn't figure out how to unload it either

They are one solid hunk of iron for sure! --- the school that I got this from used it to mash luni cans!---they had an attachment on it to drop cans in and mash them!--- shop kids and teacher had NO idea what a shaper was for or how to use it so the school put it up for sale along with a keyway cutter and a horizontal mill, then quit offering shop class. ---- SAD world! lol!

forklift rentals are cheap if you have something big like this shaper to move..most rental companies are in major city areas, but even if you are 'out in the sticks' they are a good deal for a day or two..some rental companies will work with you to have the rental delivered and wait for a 20minute period then transport your machine and rented forklift on their truck to the next work site WITH your rented forklift from them..cheaper than a rigger. No substitute fro the right equipment on the job.FWIW

Now that would be a site to see.

I know a lot about a lot of things BUT I still have a lot to learn.
Life is what you make of it. So, why not make a working machine to make it easier.
