Here is few pics of a splitter I built couple years ago. Dont laugh to hard at it, its built from just about every piece of shit I had laying around. 2 cylinder yanmar diesel power..and yes lp tanks as fuel and oil...why? Because easy to come by pre built and clean

the tanks on all my stuff are empty freon bottles.. NO SHAME for using what you have available here.. Ha even on my splitter. Have no use for a splitter any more so it's going to become a bending break or some such usable thing. I just used it to crush empty freon tanks last year. I built this thig 30 years ago... still running.
I know a lot about a lot of things BUT I still have a lot to learn. Life is what you make of it. So, why not make a working machine to make it easier.
I made one way back when we sold firewood (30 years ago) ---- going to use the old pump off of it on my dump trailer. Probably put the cylinder in the shed. It was a new one from f&f at cost of $114.00 at the time--4" x 24" x 2" rod. it would split anything you could get up on it. Used an old worn out b&s 9 hp cast iron motor on it.
