The land owner next to me had an area on his property cleared out and he let me take all the larger trees for firewood . Most of the logs are on the small side but free fire wood is free fire wood haha. I needed a way to get the wood out, so i built a log arch out of some extra pallet rack shelving and part of a tractor attachment. I used the part of the frame for a backhoe attachment that goes under the tractor for my arch. It works really well!

thats about a 1500lb log.. I'd be apprehensive about a quad trying to stop that going down a hill
I only have a small hill to go down to where I'm stacking the logs and i can go straight down it. If i had to turn at all or go on any type of angle down the hill, i would be using something much bigger than the quad for the big logs.
