2:30PM 14:00 4/20/23 got tires mounted with spoons but needed a shot of ether ("cosby sauce") sprayed inside and lit off to get them to pop and seat along with a ratchet strap.. Tried Penray and another brand but the Deere brand can is the best kaboom for the buck. Went to steel dealer to buy some cold rolled round for a big handtruck repair
the tires in question were 16x8" front tires off a old Deere riding mower..small ones are a PITA...so I cut the old ones off with the bandsaw and a sawzall, careful not to nick the wheel..they were original on the tractor from 1969, stiff as a board and dry rotted, i'd been running them without wind in them for years..finally the sidewall gave out on one at the start of mowing season this year so I decided it's time to replace them..repacked the wheel bearings and she's back in service now with some fresh yellow Deere painted wheels..lookin sassy
5/5/23 8:42 going to hoe the rest of the onions, ---- 11 rows that are 225' long. Need to plant a bit more garden. Still have melons to plant and a few other things. Waiting on the tomato seeds to grow into plants.

Sonny Isnt it amazing how some people call you about a Marketplace item you have for sale and want to talk you down on the price even tho they've never even seen it in person yet? -not as bad a Craigslist but it's getting close
GOTTA love the public!!!!!! Dont know how most of them survived! Latest question is what number is on the Allis segment wheel weights!! --didnt think that made any difference since they cast iron and weigh a bunch. nother was i'll take the tires but my niece will come get them for me at 7 pm !--ya right! never showed up. the fav scammer always wants the phone # so he can call and talk about the stuff! --- nuttin to talk about,---- just bring the cash and take the shit!! simple as that!! LOL! Probably should have just held an auction and been done with it, but wanted to sell out privately if possible and that might have been a mistake! 8:35 5/28/23

People are stupid and when you try to sell stuff privately it's a pain. That's why I took my 24 ft cabin cruiser down because I got tired of jackasses I'll be back tomorrow to get it and never showing up and all that crap. just over it. On vacation in Niagara falls for a week 😁
I know a lot about a lot of things BUT I still have a lot to learn. Life is what you make of it. So, why not make a working machine to make it easier.
I grew up 60 miles from here. 4 years ago my father-in-law passed away right at the start of covid and I hit that deer I'm pretty sure I posted the pictures up on the site with my truck in progress.

Think I finally got the leak fixed on the yoke for the drive shaft too. Weather report it's 20° warmer in Western New York than it is in Virginia Beach Virginia how's that for snafu weather.

spent the whole day working out the bugs in the DoAll bandsaw controls, replaced some parts, found a lot of intermittents, got it up and running very nicely...all in a days work
yup I used to do that Sonny but amassed so much C-R-A-P in my life I had to clean out..an overload of crap that I didnt need in the first place, feels good to throw junk away after a decision making process..so now it has to be really exceptional for me to bid+buy..but that's just me
I have been able to re-sell a LOT of the stuff on marketplace for a profit, so actually on the last sale the F-350 didnt really cost me anything after I sold a bunch of stuff to pay for it . Usually dont happen that way but gotta get lucky once in a while! LOL! This time I got a couple 1-hp 3-phase motors to attempt a rotary converter, PLUS a couple 2 hp 1 phase with big shafts, so maybe I can rig one of them up on each lathe. Some odd speed reducers, etc nobody would bid on , so a 2 dollar bid got them. Have no idea what they were from/for but might use some of them for a project down the road! ( like I have time for that!)

In regards to seating mower tires, I've used this tip with pretty good success. Wasn't able to get 8" wide tires to seat on a rim that had 10" on it, but as long as the tires are the right size for the rim I can usually get them to go.
I hadn't thought of that, got to give that a try. I just did tires on the cabin cruiser trailer. came in the mail so they were a bitch to get seated even with my bead seater. Anytime I get tires online they tape and tie them get them so damn out of shape it's almost impossible to get them to take a bead, But with a lot of patience I always win.

just did two a while back and used ether starting spray to seat 'em old skewl..That bucket method sure looks like a winner if ya don't have ether..nice vidya
Had some smashed together that way too! THAT is when I bit the bank and bought the CHEETA! lol! Its paid for itself many times over. If tires go flat sitting and pull away from the rims, you can blow them back on . Got a couple here that dont have any holes in them but they go flat quite often. I dont use them that much so I put up with them. should just go buy tubes for them, BUT todays tubes are not much better than the junk chimna tires are!

the last two small tires I bought came smashed into a little box,I had to let them relax for like two days or so until I could work them..even then they were a PITA..but turned out OK
doin good here, stormy today, shop day fer sure with the door open spent some dough with Ritchie Bros last auction, got to go pick it all up next week 0706AM EST 7/27/2023
7/28/2023 753PM EST Cleaned out a enclosed 14ft trailer today, auction buy,got a great deal...removed old wood shelves..took out more sheetrock screws than I could count..if they're not bent I save em and reuse..damn screws are expensive..worked till noon, temps well over 100degF here
trying to pick corn before coyotes destroy the rest of it. Temps near 100 here so I can only go out a little at a time, cant hack the heat anymore! 7/30/23 @9:12 am

hauled home a Bobcat T300 track loader from the auction, so let the investigation begin..fuel gauge doesnt work, I found the senders go bad on Bobcat machines-$52 fix..at least the air blows cold..he he 8/1/2023 4:47PM EST
Damn auctions! --- went to Martins yesterday, (Sat.) and it rained all day while I was there! got soaked but did get more shit to haul home! 8 flats of interesting drill bits for $5. per flat, some shovels , 3 big ladders, 1 step ladder, big Troy-Built weed wacker, 4 generators, old pressure washer that probably dont work and 3 furnace fans with motors, and other junk. Gotta go back Mon. with the trailer to get the rest of it. 8/6/23 10:43 am
