time to start thinking about the garden season for 2025! I have been saving seed from the Libby canner pumpkin that I got 42 years ago and grow a few every year to keep the variety going. Libby has changed it a TON from what it was back then so I try to keep this type going. Its WAY better than what they developed it into today!! ![[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]](https://i.imgur.com/HSkbHvh.jpg)

Our garden drowned last year. Went to do raised beds this year. Sill on the ground to hold moisture, but raised so if we get a crap load of rain again the plants won't be under water again.
I know a lot about a lot of things BUT I still have a lot to learn. Life is what you make of it. So, why not make a working machine to make it easier.

Raised beds do work. Years ago we had 3 of them plus 10 Earthboxes. They are also great and you can grow a lot of stuff in them. I really wanted to get these high tunnels up for this year,---Still not sure if the wind here will leave them up or not. They are 18' x 100' and 2 of them. A nursery lady friend of ours gave them to us. She sold the other 8 that she had and just wanted the last 2 gone. We hauled them home and they have the 2 layers of plastic,( 4 rolls 32'x100' new), big fan plus 3 smaller fans each and Modine 150,000 btu furnaces for them. We wont use the furnaces, just the fans. Kinda wanted to go smaller on the garden this year, health getting in the way ( cancer makes you weak all the time) , plus other stuff like the waterway mowing at the farm which takes a lot of time and other work I need to do at the farm and at sis's place this year. Also we could tend the garden inside a lot better rain or shine. Wind is my only worry!

Yeah wind's a killer. I got a portable carport set up over this 2002 van I'm working on and the wind keeps tearing it apart
