found this on marketplace! ---- wants $ 100. for it. Somebody had the right idea, just needs to be completed! I would like to make something like this too! A handy unit to have around!

Flickr had me blocked, had to reset a bunch of stuff, pix now have different extensions, don't know how much to remove now. They always gotta be changing something!
Anyway toss around some ideas on this project! THANKS!
I have NO idea what to do!! lol!! It used to be just delete the tail section, now that don't work!--they have different jargon in the string altogether!--HHHMMMM! mad mad mad

I hear ya there had to upgrade and change my password too. Had to delete stuff on both ends of it. Use the preview reply button to see what works

I know a lot about a lot of things BUT I still have a lot to learn.

Transmission looks like an old 3-speed car, say 34 thru 38 or so. They drive it from the rear and the roller is driven from the front!-- don't know why that is. It probably would work o.k., but owner never finished it up so this whole thing might be questionable!
One idea I have is to go with hydro-drive. 10 or more hp engine running a fair sized pump and valve for go-woa-reverse. steering could be hydraulic cylinder. the gear box in the pix. might be too slow response in small areas.
Just thinking out loud here! Comments welcome!

I would go Hydraulic More torque, less space consumed by transmission Etc.

I suspect the build was more of a "what do we have?" than a "what is best?" driven design...

use a 3 or 5hp Briggs with a mini-bike style torque converter driving the transmission, might have to re-package the engine/trans together down lower to make it work out..I'd make a subframe to sling both underneath the center.I'd think as long as you have about 3"clearance or so it would work out OK. I could look at that roller all day just in its present shape..it's kinda inspiring!!

YA! I went back to look at the ad and they must have sold it right off the bat! NEVER did find the ad again!--I was going to buy it! -- Can't wait on these deals when they come up!
Main problem I would have------ scratch that! --- the round pipe to make the rollers out of!-- Think I have some 12" diameter stuff, but that would be kind of small, just thinking again!
