I built one very similar with the wheelbarrow tub probably 15 yrs ago but made it a ride on by putting the seat on the hood backward. I kept the steering the same , just had to remember to steer the opposite direction, Clutch was no problem just another pedal backward
with a center mounted pin and rod running to the old one. I had intended to try twisting a belt to reverse the transmission but never did really finish it as it went down the road to someone else, when I bought an old 6x4 gator which is still going.
