hey Sonny those 'good metal kind' tubeless stems are good for converting the non-vented gas cans into usable vented gas cans! drill a hole behind the handle of the gas can,get your stem and tape a wire to it then fish it thru the hole and put the washer and nut on it..remove the valve in the metal stem, and with the cap on you can vent the can by loosening the cap on the stem..they work great! FWIW
