still cant get the starter to engage ----former owner put new starter
Sonny don't assume the new starter is the RIGHT one..many different nose configurations to them nowadays,never trust someone else's judgement..it might bolt up and look OK but have wrong nose or pinion option,especially when replaced by others..I went thru that on a diesel forklift starter a while back..took 4 tries to get it right..very trying to the patience..best of luck
