I'm making my blanks for the tapered rollers.. The teeth are hardened as I found out the hard way. played with the first one and found a way around it.

Still working on the taper size... I have the shaft chucked up so All I have to do is press the gear on.. I use the tail stock and a deep well socket to get it on and a gear puller to pull the blank.. Only one more to go, then I can tune in the taper. still gotta work out the mounting method. but I have a few good ideas for that too.

I know a lot about a lot of things BUT I still have a lot to learn.
