pigpen I have an atv trailer made with simple John Deere lawntractor axles cut and fitted with steel bushings that the axles ride directly on..I put a zerk fitting on the axle bushings when I made it and greased it right then when I made it,the bushings havent seen a grease gun since,that was two years ago..I use it often for yard work,it gets towed by my atv and golf cart..I think if you keep the speed down you should be able to tow it quite a ways-you'll probably hear it squeaking if it goes too far without some kind of lube in there.I think if you are using it lightly loaded,under 20mph and not going totally across the state of MO you should be fine for some time on one shot of grease,depending on your clearances between the shaft and bushing..hell give it some grease before you set out and it is what it is
