Sonny if you are using one of those flat-metal handle type wire connector crimpers with the screw cutters in the handles then there's where your problem is..they don't offer enough pressure to fully crimp the barrel or butt splices,and/or lug terminals that go on the ends of the wiring..creating a loose or high-resistance connection..Get a pair of ratcheting crimpers or T+B makes a pair of cutter/crimpers (orange/black handles)for wiring work.
