Got this given to me last week. Never heard of Lloyd LS 400 but it seams like it was a small German car and the motor is 2 cylinder TWO stroke config. running 40 :1 , 2 stroke oil mix.
Some snowmobiles had this motor in them and some guys used them on ultralight planes, which is what this guys dad did. He built and flew them.
Anyway from what I can find out its 20 hp and this one is missing the carb. only weighs around 64 pounds and was mounted crosswise in the car with front wheel drive.
This one is stuck right now,---been sitting for years but I found it interesting. Might date back to 1956 or so.
The silver adapter on the back is what he machined out to bolt the prop onto.
Electric start with rope back-up!
