looked into the bandsaw motor for a little while late today, it's an "IEC global standard" motor, its both 50 and 60hz rated compact frame D90L,2HP 3phase..not totally hard to find a replacement in case this one is toast, but I think its just wired wrong voltage or made up wrong. A single phase version is available but I have to see if the current motor is any good or just wired wrong..it would be a cheap and easy VFD speed control conversion to make..more later
