if you are seeing 'coffee grounds' in the Stanydyne pump top you sure have total fuel system contamination..total pump rebuild with a new liner, rotor and blades, flush all lines, pop check/test injection nozzles..we used to have a Case 188 in a 580 forklift at work it had at LEAST 12,000hrs on it..made it to 8500hrs+/- when we pulled it and the nozzles for complete recon..but it's still on the job today..altho much worn out..transmission linkage is worn out, it has 'Kinda Neutral'-ready to hop into gear at the slightest tremor or bump..major deathtrap as you mount and dismount the lift right on top of the rear tires..only safe thing is the parking brake actually works
