It separates the leaf/bud from the stem. The leaf/bud is were CBD oil comes from. Even the stem has value as bedding or fiber. The BTO workers don't like the stripper. It makes them work faster than they want to. And, on dry hemp, it cleans 95%+ of the leaf/bud off the stem, were by hand they only get 80% or so of the leaf/bud off. And that 15% of loss per day is = to $500 or more per worker in lost yield.
