So I gather the problem is the missing magnets inside flywheel? If so let me suggest these folks: Applied Magnetics - neodynium magnet suppiers.Bought some dandy magnets from them to build a windmill generator. (So dandy they truly scared me.) Cost was quite reasonable compared to others. Given the age of your unit you can probably signifcantly improve performance just by using stronger magnets. Poke around on the site for more options.
